1. Introduction
Welcome to CronOwl. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CronOwl website and services located at cronowl.com (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
CronOwl is a SaaS platform for monitoring cron jobs and scheduled tasks. The Service allows you to create monitoring checks, receive pings from your scripts and applications, and get alerted when scheduled jobs fail to run or complete on time.
3. Account Terms
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CronOwl to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Send spam, malicious content, or phishing attempts
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Overload or interfere with our systems or infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the Service in any way that could harm CronOwl or its users
5. Subscription and Payments
CronOwl offers Free, Starter ($8/month), and Pro ($19/month) subscription plans. All payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, who handles billing, taxes, and payment processing.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice
6. Intellectual Property
The CronOwl name, logo, and all related intellectual property rights are owned by CronOwl. You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service to you.
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible. We are not liable for any service interruptions or downtime.
8. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRONOWL AND ITS OWNER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data after a reasonable retention period.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
